Mrs. Beene died Tuesday,

She was a former teacher and
librarian in Big Spring, and was
“an inspiring religious and public and
educational personality.” The king of Thailand
considered him a “close and valuable friend.”
The king of Nepal said he was "dedicated to
the cause of serving humanity."
Now the latest Worldwide Church leader
has even referred to Mr. Armstrong's teachings
as heresy. Church leaders are attempting to
destroy his reputation.
Many members of the Philadelphia
Church of God used to be members of the
Worldwide Church—one spiritual family. The
family became divided because the Philadel-
phia Church members wanted to remain true to
what our founder taught. Now Worldwide
Church leaders are intensely determined to
destroy what we believe. Why ? Why are they
so bitterly opposed to what they once com-
mitted their lives to defend?
The Bible tells us that men often work to
“suppress the truth" (Rom. 1:18). Until you
read this book, you will not be able to decide
who is teaching or who is suppressing the
truth. Ultimately, you must decide. You must be
the judge.
Mystery of the Ages clarifies the most
important knowledge ever revealed. The world
about us is a mystery. We ourselves are a
mystery. Who and what is man? W hat is the
purpose of human life?
Once you- have read Mystet i ol the Ages,
"your own Bible will no longer be a mystery to
you. Time may prove this to be the most
important book in almost 1,900 years! You may

Worldwide Church has discontinued the book
Mystery of the Ayes by Herbert W. Armstrong
and even destroyed remaining copies. The
Worldwide Church leadership initiated the .
court case for only one reason: they do not
want anybody on earth to read this book. Why ?
A close look at their history reveals a desire to
destroy much more than a book.
Since the death of its founder, Herbert W.
Armstrong, on January 16, 1986, the World-
wide Church of God has undergone a series of
doctrinal changes which has rocked that
church internally. Their leaders have destroyed
every major doctrine in that church.
The Worldwide Church baptized member-
ship has dropped from 89,000 in 1986 to
40,000 this year. Most of these people left or
were driven out by doctrinal changes. They
have destroyed nearly 60 percent of their total
membership.
What about The Plain Truth magazine,
which Mr. Armstrong began in 1934 and was
eventually requested by over eight million
subscribers? It is now sent bi-monthly to a
measly 150,000. at a modest subscription
price. An .eight million person readership
destroyed.
What about The World Tomorrow tele-
vision program, which was on over 400
stations before Mr. Armstrong died? It has
been totally destroyed.
What about Ambassador College? Thou-
sands of students were able to attend college at
one of two of the most beautiful and uplifting
campuses in the world. Ambassador College
will graduate its last student in’ May. The
Pasadena and Big Sandy campuses are avail-
able to the highest bidder, to help offset the
heavy expenses within a church that has seen
its income of 200 million dollars per year in
the mid-1980s dwindle to approximately 30
million. Two beautiful colleges destroyed.
.About 170 million dollars in annual income
destroyed.
What about the Ambassador Foundation,
which Mr. Armstrong founded in 1975 to
conduct cultural, humanitarian, charitable and
educational activities of the church and
college? What about the humanitarian project
