The Hotrods lost to the
Lions with the only score
made early in the first
period by the Lions. The
Hotrods played super de-
fense after the goal and
kept the Lions on their
toes (paws). Cory Abernathy
played outstanding along
with Michael Summers and
Eric Meyer, who both
played goalie. Sean Belote,
Curtis Lee and John
Scarbrough turned in a
first-rate game.

In February vote
By SUSAN WILKERSON
Homeowners Association Historian
Now is as appropriate a time as any to inform you of the
structure of the association; that is, how the organization
functions as the large group that we are.
The first order of business is the election of officers and
that occurs the first Thursday in February. Elected by a ma-
jority vote is a president, now Judie McConologue, three vice
presidents Jim Odell, Luis Guerrero, and Joe Murphy; secretary,
Janet Freeman; treasurer, Judy Gurley; and historian, Susan
Wilkerson.
Each board member has certain individual as well as com-
mon goal duties. The responsibility of the board as a whole
involves being speaking voting members, discussing and estab-
lishing methods to handle business and problems, approving
requisitions for money; and planning agendas for monthly
meetings.
One of the most important duties of the individual board
member is being liaison with his appointed committees estab-
lished as a whole by the board. Through this close contact
with each committee we aid in communication, solving pro-
blems, direct requests and leading them to their individual
goals. By setting up a liaison officer within the board, we keep
the communication lines open at all times and maintain re-
quests, questions and information channeled through one person.
The president is a liaison officer with other organizations
including Fox & Jacobs, MUD, and the Colony Volunteer
Fire Department. This communication keeps us abreast of cer-
tain goings on that may have a direct bearing on the home-
owners.
All in all, the setup of the organization has proved to be
a workable one. I personally invite you all to actively join
and take advantage of the good thing that we have going.
