DEAR SIR:
I wish to express my per-
sonal thanks to the Colony
Volunteer Fire Department
ambulance crew.
If not for the volunteer
ambulance service and the
people who have donated
time and effort my son pro-
bably wouldn’t be alive today.
On April 14 around 7:15
to 7:30 p.m. my son had an
attack. I have never seen
such fast service. They
were there quickly—it seemed
like in seconds. On the run
that night were Mr. & Mrs.
Chuck Kimberling and Rick,
a volunteer fireman.
No way can I ever show
or pay my gratitude to this
wonderful cause and those
people. I had never thought
too much about the ambulance
but I hope everyone in this
Colony will realize the im-
portance of the ambulance

and fire trucks and people
working on them. They have
put in long hard hours. The
department gets its money
through donations. I am real
ashamed I have never donated
to it, but this really made
me realize how important it
was. I can’t give anything
right now but as soon as
possible I will. Believe me
people, it is worth every dona-
tion you could give or my
16-year-old son probably
wouldn’t be with us.
A life is worth all trea-
sures and let’s all try to
help support our Fire De-
partment and ambulance ser-
vice.
With our love and
prayers,
MARGUERITE CARTER
