BARTHELMESS IN A
NEW SCREEN HIT
“Classmates,” Richard Barthel-
mess’. new First National Production
at the Isis Theatre, is probably the
most varied story this young star has
ever been seen in on the screen.
“Classmates”’'has the appeal of
"Tol’able David," the force of "Fu-
ry” and the fine histrionic strength
of “The Enchanted Cottage,” other
Barthelmess pictures, along, with a
distinctly different interest.
Briefly, "Classmates" is the story
of a poor boy of the North Carolina,
mountains who wins an appointment
to West Point, loses his commission
in a quarrel with another chap and
and Mrs. H. C. Kaplan.
Unusual interest- has centered
about the wedding which was pre-
ceded by many events honoring the
bride and the bridal party. •
The impressive wedding ceremony
was read by Dr. Henry Barnston;
The entire home was wreathed and
garlanded with smilax, the glossy
vine also outlining door openings
