will last through May 28 and is
open to the public.
The wedding ceremony is one
of the most joyous and elaborate
in Jewish ritual and a great

Mrs. Irving Dean will accompany

The group is one of many
who visit the Home during the
year, some to entertain, some to
be of service Recently children
of Cong. Beth Yeshurun
performed in a Purim program
and the Leadership Training
Youth conducted discussion
sessions. Throughout the year,
the Rabbis and Cantors of the
community visit the Home on
assigned Thursday afternoons.
Religious services are conducted
by the United Synagogue Youth
the third Friday of every month;
and the Sth and 6th grade classes
of Beth Yeshurun have
alternated with the Youth
Groups of Emanu El and Beth
Israel

century British Jewish mer-
chant, became the central fig-
ure in an international incident
in 1850 when the British Gov-
ernment ordered its fleet to
blockade the Greek port of Pi-
raeus in support of a financial
claim that Pacifico had against
the Greeks.

contracts and an 18th century
etching showing Portuguese and
German marriage feasts, as well
as various objects such as the
double wedding cup,
symbolizing the bliss of marital
union, the elaborate wedding
rings of 17-18th centuries with a

indicate both the sanctity of the
home and the holy Temple, as
well as other objects of interest
