The South Collin County Unit of
the American Cancer Society has
announced the Tenth Annual Guns-
lingers’ Ball March 14 at the Collin
County Youth Park near McKinney.
The Youth Park, which has an
enclosed pavillion and has featured
livestock and equestrian events, is
located off FM 1461, about 14 miles
north of Plano.
Tickets for the event are $45
each. This year’s gala will feature
western food, music and
entertainment.
The fundraising goal for the 1987
event is $100,000. According to
Susan Stevenson, Gunslingers’ Ball
co-chair, $40,000 of that amount
has already been committed. Eighty
percent of the money raised directly
benefits South Collin County resi-
dents through cancer research,
community education programs in
schools and businesses and local
patient services. Only 20 percent of
the ball’s income is needed for
fundraising expenses.
Over the past nine years,
proceeds from the Gunslingers’ Ball
ticket sales and donations have
provided the American Cancer Soci- e
ety with more than $100,000 to“
support the fight against cancer.
Nobody who’s injured should have to cope with
complicated legal claims after an accident. So
that you can concentrate on getting well, we
offer experienced legal help, and we do not
charge for our services unless your injury claim
is settled or won.
