urday to visit her sister in Bak-
ersfield, California.
All room mothers and al others
interested and all PTA members
are requested to meet this Thurs-
day night, Oct. 8, 7:30, at the
school to start planning for the
Halloween Carnival.
The Parent-Teacher Association
met last Thursday night fortheir
first meeting of this school year.
Mrs. Helen Browning, the presi-
dent, presided. Prayer was led by
Mr. Joe McKinnis. After busi-
ness was conducted, slides and
movies were shown of school ac-
tivities last year and several
years back and of the track
meets last year, by Mr. George
Madden. Everyone enjoyed these.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Moore at-
tended a football game Friday
night at Comstock where they
watched their grandson, Lee
Moore, who is captain of the
Long team of Dallas, play. The
Long team won.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Graves and
children, Roxie Ann, Jack and
Tommy of Fort Worth, visited his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Graves, Sunday. Mrs. Graves is
enjoying a weeks leave from her
homeroom teacher. There were
104 guests present and the class
cleared $102.00 after expenses.
Everyone had an enjoyable time.'

Thursday, Sept. 24. Their other
children, Alton, Judy, Vickie,
Carol and Randy are very happy
of the new brother, too.
