Grace Pavliska, is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Pavliska
of koute 2, Granger. She is
a 1956 graduate of Granger High

of Blinn Junior College will pre-
sent the degree and Mrs. Doro-
thy Shooter, head of the state
hospital program, will present
the nurse technician certificate.
Henry J. Boehm, dean registrar,
will certify the graduates and
announce the honor graduates.
Former House Speaker Waggon-
er Carr of Lubbock, Democratic
nominee for state attorney gen-
eral. will deliver the commence-
ment address. Dr. Hoerster will
serve as master of ceremonies
and introduce the platform guests.
The psychiatric nurse techni-
cian program at the State Hospi-
'al is a joint undertaking of Blinn
Junior College and the hospital.
The two-year program is design-
ed to provide technically qualified
specialists in psychiatric nurs-
ing. The purse technician is
qualified to execute basic nursing
skills and to practice other speci-
fic skills and judgments required

native of Timpson, Texas.
.Taylor spent two years in mili-
tary service. He served 16 months
in the Far East assigned to
Pacific Stars and Stripes, the
daily service newspaper, in Ja-
pan and Korea. He was Korea
News Chief for the publication,
as a member of the hospital
team while working under the
direct supervision of the physi-
cian and registered nurse.
Ei inn offers courses of study in
the humanities, social sciences
and physical sciences to broaden
the academic backgrounds of the
psychiatric nurse technicians.
Classes begin at the start of the
school year and run concurrently
including two summer semesters.
At the completion of the course,
students have 66 hours of college
credits.
