BIG SUCCESS
On Sunday the 5th of May,
the Hill Country Singing Clubs
of Boerne and Fredericksburg
held their annual Saengerfest
at the Fair Grounds at Boerne.
The annual business meet-
ing was held at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Lohmann
at 1:30 p.m. with President
Ottmer Behr, presiding. After
discussion of various matters
in regards to singing clubs, the
Arion Men’s Club of Fred-
ericksburg was selected as the
host club for the 1969 Saen-
gerfest. New officers of the
Hill Country singers are Alex
Frantzen of Fredericksburg,
president; Ottmer Behr of
Boerne, vice president, and
Ewald Schaefer of Fredericks-
burg, secretary-treasurer.
The Fun Festival started at
3:30 in the afternoon with Mr.
Joe Molberg (an 86-year-
young man) of Fredericksburg
as master of ceremonies which
