Aaron Blumenrader left Parts Sandblast #1 6/3/43, was injured in

as transportation clerk, plant #2.Home from 40 months in the South Pacific with 109 points, Engr T/5

Bob Christianson was Electrical Maintenance foreman when he left
for the Navy 6/7/44. Discharged as F2c, he came back to his old
job 1/3/45.
Wilbur Hymbaugh was a metal blaster when he left for service
3/4/43, but wounds in his abdomen and left leg suffered 9/7/44
near Nice, France, incapacitated him for return to that work. He likes
the job as head messenger on which he was reemployed 6/11/45.
4WHEN Parachute Infantry Sgt
Wilbur Hymbaugh jumped
in the dark somewhere be-
tween Marseilles and Nice, France,
August 16, '44, he had no inkling that
by that action he would land even~-
tually in a bevy of chattering bobby
socks.
SF2c could describe Victor Reed's
new job about as well as it covered
his maintenance work with the Sea-
bees. As well as shipfitter, second
class, it could mean suggestion finder.
Wilbur and Victor are two of the
77 LeTourneau employes who to date
have returned to work from military
service. Vicksburg has 193 employes
in military service, 2 veterans back
at work; Tournapull, 834 in service,
34 returned; Peoria, 1,277 in uniform,
41 back on the job.
SpaCe could hardly be found in a
dozen issues of NOW to discuss in-
R..
telligently the application to indi-
vidual cases of regulations for reem-
ployment of returning veterans, to-
gether with the varying interpr-eta-
tions of government agencies. But
to picture a few of these veterans
back at work with us is an easy and pleasant
task. And such display may tell more than
would reams of explanation.
Wilbur finds his job as Peoria head mes-
senger requires as much tact and supervisory
skill as did handling a squad of tempera-
mental GI's proud of their jump boots. Vic-
tor thinks his new assignment as suggestion
investigator for the Peoria Employe sugges-
tion System is going to be more fun than
seeing the United States and the South
Pacific with the Seabees. We present here
