being done in other parts of the
country, Mrs.Peiser pointed out
the need for a woman’s divis-
ion in furthering the bond sale
and the action setting up the
Houston Committee was taken.
A six point program was a-
dopted. Each Women’s organi-
zation would appoint a Bond
chairman and each of these
chairmen would serve on the
Advisory Council which was to
be set up soon. Each Women’s
organization would be asked to
set up a Bond sales organiza-
tion. Committees would be ap-
pointed at the first organiza-
tional meeting which Mrs.
Weems would call soon. Special
sales projects would be set up
for the women. Some month in
the Fall would be designated
as Women’s Bond Sales month
and energies would be concen-
trated on selling bonds at that
time.
Plans are now being mater-
ialized for an early meeting of
the Advisory Council at which
time standing committees and
chairmen of these committees
would be announced.
