As the New Year
starts, I want to
say thanks to the
city of Stephen-
ville for answer-
ing our plea for
news; to the
wonderful people
who have adverti-
sed with us; and
to the greatest
staff ever assem-
bled anywhere!
In addition to
thanking the
staff, I want to
say thanks to
their loyal
spouses and/or
boyfriends and
girlfriends. You
have been so
patient and under-
standing.
If you want to
get in on the
hard work and fun,
please call us at
965-5991. The
pay is low, or
non-existent but
we do have fun.
Now, I want to
wish all our
readers and pros-
pective readers
the best of
everything in the
new year.

She lives at 406 E. Tarleton with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Hudson,
and her twin sister, Sherri. On
January 2, she will return to the
hospital in Dallas for a fourth oper-
ation to correct her condition. Terri
was in a body cast for one year after
the last operation of this type, and
Terri’s school work has been inter-
rupted by her illness, but a home-
bound teacher comes to the hospital
when she is able to study. For the
past three months, this teacher has
been an important outside contact for
Terri, because her parents can only
visit for two hours on weekends.

Terri Hudson, 12, is home for the
Christmas holidays. A pretty little
girl with large dark eyes and a bright
smile, Terri talks wistfully of a
bicycle for Christmas, as she looks
with shining eyes at the bright
Christmas tree in the corner. No
longer in traction, she is now allowed
to turn from side to side in the bed.
She cannot sit up or lie face-down.
Her bed is encircled with ropes so
that she will not fall out and injure
herself. Terri has curvature of the
spine - a crippling condition which.
becomes progressively worse without
proper medical attention.
