Whipped Cream
Cinnamon sticks
peeling twice. Add peeling
and sugar. Stir well. Let
stand in cool place a few
hours before serving.

1/2 cup Karo syrup
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites
Hot Buttered Rum

Beat eggs in a large mixing
bowl. Add all ingredients
except pastry and mix well.
Prepare pastry; roll out to fit a
15x10x1 inch jelly roll pan,
bringing pastry partially up
sides of pan. Pour olive
mixture over pastry and bake
at 425 degrees for 15 minutes.
Reduce temperature to 375
degrees and continue baking
for about 25 minutes or until
filling is set. Cool slightly and
cut into bars about 1 1/2 to 2
1/2 inches. Serve warm.
Serves approximately 20.
Cranberry Bread
Tina Conner, Stephenville
Combine butter, sugars and
spices; beat until fluffy. Add
ice cream, stirring until well
blended. Spoon mixture into
a freezable container; freeze.
When ready to serve, thaw
slightly. Place three
tablespoons butter mixture
and 1 jigger of rum in a large
mug; fill with boiling water.
Stir well. You can refreeze
any unused butter mixture.
Top with whipped cream, and
serve with cinnamon sticks.
Serves 20.
1 package (8 oz.) frozen
spinach (thawed and drained
thoroughly)
12 oz. sour cream
8 oz. grated cheese
12 oz. cottage cheese
(small curd)
3 eggs beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

1 pound butter, softened
1 pound light brown sugar
1 pound powdered sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 quart vanilla ice cream,
softened
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
11/4 cup sugar
1 cup pecans
1 1/4 cup cranberries, sliced
5 Tbs. shortening
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 Tbs. orange rind
Juice of 1 orange and enough
boiling water to make 1 cup.
Cappuccinos, Coffees, Chai Teas and Black Teas
Soups, Sandwiches, Quiche, Daily Specials, Specialty Cakes
Mix cheeses and spinach and
fold in beaten eggs, salt and
pepper. Spray an 8x11 inch
baking pan with Pam or
grease lightly. Pour mixture
into pan and bake 45 minutes
at 350 degrees or until well
done.

1 teaspoon oregano
1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss
cheese
2 Tbs. copped chives
3/4 tsp. salt
Dash of cayenne pepper

Dear Lord,
So far today, God, I’ve done all right
1 bag gingersnaps (or gingerbread cake)
Chopped pecans (optional)
2 boxes butterscotch pudding, follow directions on box, and
then add 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Crush 1 bag gingersnaps in food processor. Begin layering
ingredients in a trifle dish in the following order.
1. Cool Whip
2. Gingersnaps
3. Butterscotch pudding
4. Nuts
Layer as many times as desired.
Top off completed trifle with Cool Whip and sprinkled
cinnamon.

I haven ‘t gossiped, haven’t lost my temper, haven’t been
greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish or overindulgent
Pm really glad about that
But in a few minutes, God, I’m going to get out of bed, and
from then on I’m probably going to need a lot more help.

In bowl, sift all dry ingredients
twice; add shortening, eggs,
orange rind, orange juice and
boiling water; mix well. Fold
in chopped pecans and
cranberries. Pour batter in a
greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.

stand 24 hours before cutting.
