The Columbus Cardinals
beat the Sealy Tiger freshmen
by a score of 20-8 last week.
Key mistakes provided for the
First two touchdowns by
Columbus as they led 14-0 at
the half. The Tigers looked as
though they were to come back
as they scored on a 38 yard run
by Darrell Hyatt and Brad
Matchett made the two as the
Cardinals led by 14-8.
The Tigers kicked off and
Columbus returned the kick for
a touchdown and made the
final score 20-8. Darrell Hyatt
did an excellent job on both
defense and offense.
The Tigers had 133 total
yards compared to 117 for
Columbus. They play Bellville
in a rematch Thursday here at
5:30 p.m.

Austin County, will have to decide who is the most qualified candidate for
District Clerk. The name of Arthur W. Louis will still appear on the ballot
event though he has resigned, therefore you are urged to vote by individual
candidate and let your vote be for ADELINE LUEDKE, WRITE IN CANDI-
DATE for District Clerk. I am experienced, qualified, enjoy working with
the public, my family is grown, with the exception of one son in high
school, and I am able to devote my full time to the position of District Clerk.

played one of their better
games of the year but came up
short 14-12. The Tigers ran up
a 12-0 lead early in the third
quarter but couldn't hang on.
Harold Jackson ran 20 yards
for the,Tigers first score and
Duke Wallace ran 64 yards for
the next score.
Columbus scored twice in
the 4th quarter to win. Sealy is
now 2-5 in the year.
The Tigers have a rematch
with Bellville Thursday at 7:00
p.m. at Tiger Field.
