Robert Cordell, Machine Shop, married
to weekend bride Martha McAllister.
In last Saturday's double header the
Caterpillar Nighthawks defeated the
Iron Men 12-2 in the first game and 8-5
in the second game. Batteries for Le-
Tourneau in the first game were House,
Shilling and Hodgson. In the second
game Kenyon and Garrison. HodsonCurb was bid 31, asking 32/ .
DR. J. K. Harper in to Peoria Thurs-
day through Sunday of last week.
DR. A. R. Bodenhamer, Stockton ter-
ritory, ill for four days. Now recuper-
ating and at work.
Dealer's Salesman Robert Howe from
Patten Tr. & Equipment Co., Chicago,
brought guests Friday to the plant to see
demonstration of cable-laying Rooter.
Miller-Hasselbalch, Omaha dealer,
sent Contractor Everist with his Super-
intendent and Master Mechanic to Peoria
to see demonstration of SU and W Car-
ryalls Thursday.
Paul Fulford, Export Department,
left on a vacation trip through the east,
including Washington and New York.
Production orders issued this past
week: 25 BK-8 Bulldozers, 50 Model "G"
Scrapers.
On Friday night the Welders Softball
team defeated Williams Oil-O-Matics of
Bloomington 7-6. Welders got 10 hits.
Waldschmidt and Carmen getting
triples and Demmin with a double. Sat-
urday night the Welders defeated Can-
ton 10-3, getting 15 bingos featuring a
home run by Blanken. Cravens, the win-
ning pitcher, struck out 12. Their sched-
ule includes a game with Block & Kuhl
Thursday P. M. at Glen Oak Park and
one with Lyceum Stags of Peoria at Far-
row Chix field on Friday night.
Glen Lefler, Machine Shop, had an ap-
pendectomy performed.Traffic Laws: Don't clutter up the
highway in the shop, it slows up pro-
duction. Park on the side.
The latest additions in the line of shop
equipment are one 600-ton Hamilton and
one 400-ton Niagara Mechanical Press.
In the process of construction are four
7500 gallon tanks for the storage of oil
and naptha.
