Standards Standing for week ending
July 22nd: High Department was Ship-
ping and most improved was Cutting.
High man was Irvin Krause with 970
premium units. Average premium per
man was $4.09.
DR John Wilson visited the plant
last week.
Chief Field Engineer Ken Park is in
the East with DR G.S. McKenty.
Sales Manager E.R. Galvin attending
the Pulp and Paper Meeting in Quebec,
Canada, Aug. 4th, 5th, & 6th.
Visitors: - Visiting the plant last
week were Mr. Percy Ridings from the
Syracuse Supply Co., Syracuse, New
York, and Mr. C.E. Bunting of the Bunt-
ing Tr. & Eq. Co., Boise, Idaho.
The Parts Department reports that
our parts numbers are now entering the
F Series.
August 1st quotation on LeTourneau
stock was Bid 31, Asking 3212.

the proud father of a new daughter, 6
lbs. 10 oz., born July 24th. Lawrence
Reed, night welder, is the proud father
of Janice Joan, 7 lbs. 1 oz., born July
26th.
Phil Tucker, pressman, won second
place in the Shore Acre Golf Tourna-
ment recently.
LeTourneau Court very attractive
these days with all the flowers in full
bloom, due to Sid Wandschneider using
the hose and giving the lawn mower
some exercise.
Owen Gillis is adding structures to
Bethany East Peoria Steel Church.
Hawthorne Shepherd, Maintenance De-
partment has a new Chevrolet. Bill Eb-
ling, Heat Treat Department, driving
new Studebaker.
Sports News: In the double header
with Commercial Solvents, the Iron Men
Hardball Team won one and lost one.
They won the first game 16-12 with Teel
& Hodgson batteries. In the second game
Commercial Solvents won 5-4 in a hard
pitched battle of 10 innings with Shill-
ing and Hodgson batteries for LeTour-
neau.
Coming Events: On August 5th the
Iron Men play the "Caterpillar" Night-
hawks in a double header at Bradley
Park.
Mr. Verne Nothdurft added to Traf-
fic Department.
On Thursday, July 27th, Clair Com-
nick passed away at the Methodist Hos-
pital. Early in 1939 Clair accepted the
Lord Jesus Christ as his personal
Savior. From that time until his death
after a week of pneumonia, there was
evidence of the grace of God in his life
-marveled at by those who knew him
best-a testimony to the truth that "if
any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature."I
