A alight hitch has developed in plans
for a tennis tournament between the
University of Texas and the Univer-
sity of Oklahoma. A contract has
been signed by authorities of the two
institutions, calling for a two-day meet
on Oct. 11 and 1* .with return dates
in the spring of 1911.
The contract calls tor the meet to
be played in accordance with Missouri
Valley Athletic Conference rules, vhich
would render some of the best Texas
players ineligible.
Tennis Coach D. A. Penick is endeav-
oring to straighten out the difficulty
so that “Chile" Granger and McNeill
Drumright, southern champions in both
singles and doublea, can represent the
University of Texas at Norman, Okla.,
for the first meet.
Coach Penie announces that a two-
year contract has been signed for meets

Another Austin restaurant has joined
the 5-centalper-cup “coffee rap at
profiteering," or, at least, the price
which many of the public have ex-
pressed themselves as being sufficient
in their minds to charge at eating
places, without those who run them
losing money. Just what the restau-
rant men generally have to say in the
premises is not known, but the res-
taurant porprietors referred to state
they can afford to sell at 5 cents per
cup now and make a profit, especially
since sugar has take nsuch a tumble.
One of the proprietors of the res-
taurant which Friday began to sell
coffee at the “old-time” price, was
asked why he could not also sell pies
at 5 cents now if sugar were so low.
His reply was practically as follows:
