EDUCATIONAL BOOTH—Members of the Fairview home demonstration club illustrated the
different steps in textile painting to win a blue ribbon on their educational booth at the Cooke county
fair. In the foreground, two tables were set up containing the equipment to paint textiles together
with examples of the work underway. In the background was a luncheon cloth and napkin set,
beautifully completed according to the instructions given by the women. (Boyd & Breeding Photo)

A report was given on the
workshops conducted at the state
home demonstration meeting at
Big Spring the latter part of
August. Mrs. Jayne spoke on the
educational thoughts brought out
in the meeting. She said that
home demonstration clubs should
study state institutions in their
district, such as the state school
for girls near Gainesville, and to
assist in every way possible the
constructive work being done
there. She stater that the Terrell
women were especially active in
this field.
