Barrymore plays with tremen-

Gable runs a rubber plantation
somewhere in the Malay jungles.
When not ducking the red sand
storms peculiar to the neighbor-

natives, tasting raw rubber that

Jean Harlow is a tough coaster

By United Press.
BERLIN, Nov. 7.—Germany
emerged from its general election
today with . the "dictatorship"
cabinet of Chancellor Franz von
Papen etill in power, but far short
of any parliamentary majority. , ‘
The minority supporting Von
Papen gained fractionally in the
election. The Fascist party of
Adolph Hitler lost some strength,
and the Communists gained.
Otherwise, the anomalous polit-
ical situation under which the
conservative Von Papen govern-
ment rules over the voice of a de-
fiant but shackled reichstag re-
mained almost unchanged. It was
in every way a deadlock, and the
country awaited an even more emr
bittered struggle between Von
Papen and Hitler for power.
Protest Vote
Germany voted overwhelmingly
against the Von Papen govern-
ment, despite its minor gain. The
Hitlerites, altho they lost 35 seats
In parliament, actually fell, only
four per cent behind their vote in
the total poll thruout the country,
compared to the result of last
July’s election.
Fourth Texas Division of Ameri-

American Legion leaders of the

national defense here today as
plans were made for the state con-

Mineral Wells Sunday.
Post officers of the Fourth Di-
