By MRS. MUNSON
It is so hard for the 18-year girl to realize that her
love affair is not the all-consuming passion that it seems
to be and that at 21, she will probably think of it with
smiles. (
She turns down all other dates, which is certainly
foolish for any girl who is not engaged to the boy, and
especially at her age. In her jealousy of a 15-year-old
sister, she admits an inferiority complex, and shows a
trait of childishness. 4—--------------------------*

CHARGES IN SIX STATES
WASHINGTON — Alleged vot-
I Ing Irregularities in at least six
states will be vigorously investi-
gated by Senate or HRise, which-
ever party wins tomorrow.
S. Davis Wilson, chairman of
the Roosevelt-Progressive League
of Philadelphia, charges the Vare
machine has put indicted men on
election boards in that city in or-

sion’s gas division.
Fixing of the amount of the
reserve, its value, and the oper-
ating costs of the reserve are ma-
jor factors in the setting of a
rate base from which city gate
rates are determined.----------L.........
The other major factor is the
fixing of a fair value on the
transmission system. Construction
and operating costs will be the
ehlef point of argument here,
commission engineers indicated.

been abandoned in the Wheeler
County field," Huicy said.

"This Includes 97 wells yet to i

for future reserves is deducted i
from the annual net operating
revenues on an eight per cent
compound discount basis.
Consequently, the net operating :
revenue is decreased, in turn re- i
during the amount of return for
the investment and depreciation, ;
engineers indicated. Ohrtpusly,
this would prohibit any lowering
of a gate rate, which must be suf-
ficient to yield a fair return—of
about 10 per cent on. the total |
property value.
Ed Connor and P. M. Biddison,
Dallas conaultiijg engineers who
’ assisted in making an appraisal I
i for the utility, are expected to
follow Huicy on the stand.
"It was my job, Judge," he j
said.
Justice J. H. Faulkner raised
Hoskins' bond from $1,500 to'
$5,000. He set the bond of Mary I
Williams at $1,500. Both are.
still in jail.
The two were trapped by po- l
lice after they had taken more
than $300 in cash and checks.
They also are wanted for hold-
ups in Oklahoma City and Kansas
City.

State Highway Patrolman F. A.

the Peace Dalby in Arlington.
The arrest was made after an auto

Well, "In Love," you are too
young to tie yourself down to
one boy, if your plans for mar-
riage are no more definite. I
am afraid that you are trying
to rush things too much.
The boy possibly does care for
you but realizes that a wedding
date is too indefinite, for either
he or you to give up all others,
and go together too steadily.
Why ndt both of you agree to
to ahead with others? And if
he wants to save his money to
marry you, believe in him, but
don t give up your other boy
friends. You have not been go-
ing with, him long enough to be j
sure that you would always be
happy together.
A sound, lasting love is usual-
ly based on a sincere friendship
and you have plenty of time to
be a friend to him before you
are a sweetheart.
