An Appropriation Advocated.
In an article addressed to the
Dallas News Aaron Coffee of Mc
Knney has this to say on an im-
portant subject: I am requested
by several large grain raisers;
bankers and merchants to write an
article showing the necessity of an
appropriation for paying the ex-
penses of a thorough inspection by
Prof. Mally and his assistants, in
providing means to arrest at once
the insects, the fall army worm
now infesting all the fields, sorg-
hum, crab grass patches, etc., in
north Texas. Surely every repre-
sentative from this productive sec-
tion of the state, especially Collin
county’s worthy and faithful rep-
resentatives, are expected to have
said needed and very urgent appro-
priation made without further de-
lay. This is too plain a duty, foi
our solons to see that they will
jeopardize the whole grain inter-
est in Texas by failure to promptly
