Mrs. Eckardt Has
Birthday Sunday
Miss Henrietta Dittert sur-
prised Mrs. Erna Muench Eck-
ardt of Cat Spring Sunday for
her 65th birthday. A baked duck
and fried chicken dinner was en-
joyed by Miss Dittert, Mrs. Eck-
ardt,, Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Hill
and Mark Bradley. In the after-
noon they visited Mr. and Mrs.
Hy. Eckardt.
The real date of Mrs. Eck-
ardt’s birthday was Wednesday,
when her daughter, Mrs. Hill,
surprised her with a picnic
treat.

congealed salad, fruit cocktail
cake and an assortment of
cheese crackers served with
peppermint iced tea.
The hostess gift was an in-
fanseat. .
The home of Mrs. J. T. Bur-
lin in Alvin.was also the setting
for a pink and blue shower hon-
oring Mrs. Struckmeyer on Sept-
ember 16. Hostesses were Mrs.
J. T. Burlin and Mrs. O. Brea-
zeale.
The gift table was centered
with a stork and held the many
nice and useful gifts for the
coming event.
