to commend and compliment than to pick to pieces
a person and his or her actions. We seem to take
delight in tearing apart people for what they sav-

Mims said that the new
law allows loans on mo-
bile homes and condo-
miniums for the first time
and also allows GI loans to
be used for refinancing
homes already owned by
veterans
The new laws restores
expired. unused eligibility
for loans to veterans of
Worid War n and the Kor-
ear. conflict
it eliminates a 5 per-
cent funding fee previously
paid by post-Korean veter-
ans
Mims said that the aver-
age GI home koan at this
timefs nearly $20,000, thus
the buyer would save
about $2,530 over a 30-
year period as a result of
the reduction in the inter-
est rate
‘The interest reduction
plus the greater flexibility
the new housing law gives
the veteran makes the
housing outlook consider-
ably brighter and allous
older veterans to take a
new look at their housing
needs ” Mims said
The VA official said the
ability of veterans to pur-
chase mobile homes will oe
a big help to younger vet-
erans with limited income
’The best thing about
this provision is that it
doesn t prevent the veter-
ar. from buying a conven-
tional home with a GI loarn

Critic-ally
Constructive criticism, they tell us is fine and
acceptable. but where does one decide what is
constructive and what IS just plain outright criti-
cism. from a person who intends to dig, deride
and find fault with everything
Whether criticism is constructive or not de-
pends mainly on the person being criticized Oft- 1
times what is meant to be helpful appears in reverse
when it hits the ear One s attitude many times
determines the acceptance of the criticism One
mood may produce response of acceptance of a
critic’s suggestions for betterment, while another
may produce rejection of the same critic with the
same motive of suggested helpfulness
We are all prone to be critical of some things
. . . sometimes all things We are all willing to
accept help some times but not always Some-
times we feel that we are intelligent and capable of
doing the right thing be it in word or deed
Other times we need the consideration and aid of
others, family and friend
if we stand to be criticized we must De broad-
er in our scope of people’s understanding, their
interpretations, and their genuineness in desire of
assistance This is a big order . . . because criti-
cism is bound to hurt . . and we flinch at the
idea it’s like getting an injection we know
it’s going to hurt even before it nappens.
