The regular City Council
meeting of the City of Boerne
was called to order by Mayor
Art Howell with a full slate of
councilmen present.
Visitors were introduced,
the first being Mr. Jerry
Collins from the Boerne Turn
Verein in regards to the sign
variance. Mr. Collins brought
a sign sketch to show Council
and after some discussion the
Council voted to approve this
sign variance. City Admini-
strator Edgar Schwarz
interjected at this point that
there were at present two
signs that were in the City
that were being leased from
the City for a minimal fee of
$1 per year. He told Mr.
Collins that if they would like
to lease this space from the
city, that this could be work-
ed out in a similar fashion to
the other signs. Mr. Collins
stated that he would check
with Coca-Cola about this
possible lease idea.
The next visitors were
Henry Brigman and Tommy
Titsworth of the Boerne
Optimist Club. They were
there to report on the
updating of a route for the
Berges Fest Run that is to
