first of the year to urge you to do
and work according to our Con-
stitution and By-Laws as well as
our working agreement. So if you
aren’t working accordingly, don’t
blame anyone else if you happen
to come up with charges filed
against you. A good class of work
is much easier to perform as some
of our poor class jobs that have
to be done over. I have visited
some jobs in the area that need a
lot of improvement in every way.

THI DALLAS CRAFTSMAH
First I would like to say our
work situation is just holding its
own with no calls for men, but
most everyone working with the
exception of two or three. We have
no travelers working within the
territory at present, but as it
stands now, looks as though we
will have to use travelers before
the end of November.
Next, I would like to express my
appreciation to each member that
has realized that we have a trade,
code-of-workmanship and skill we
should try our utmost to fulfill. I
have visited several jobs that I
feel should be complimented on and
I appreciate these foremen and
men concerned. Just to list several
and be as prief as possible, the job
on Express Towers in Dallas that
Brother J. P. Wooldridge and men
have done, Children’s Hospital at
Parkland that Brother W. B. Car-
roll and men are doing, Brother
M. L. Floyd and men are doing a
good job on the boiler at Moun-
tain Creek, as well as Brother T.
A. Klause and men on the piping at
Mountain Creek. Brother W. J.
Reed and men in Arlington have
a good job on the bank there,

Where an insulation job does not
meet its requirements, then you
are hurting LalNo. 21, Shops,
Mechanical Contractors and Gen-
eral Contractors. With as big a
territory that we have, there is
no reason why we have to have
men unemployed as much as we do.
I feel that if we would go out and
work for our shops eight hours a
day instead of trying to work four
or five hours for eight hours pay,
we would have a great improve-
ment in every respect. We have
some jobs that are done that are
practically enclosed all the way
through because we hate to em-
ploy additional men. So let’s all
work as a team and help each
other and I think we will all gain
friendship as well as have a good
class of work to prove our skill
to all concerned.
It is with deep regret that we
report the passing of Brother
Edgar Stephenson, Registration
Number 9011. Brother Stephenson
was better known as “Big Steve”
by all. Our deepest sympathy goes
to the Stephenson family. As some
of you know, Brother John Vass
sustained major injuries tn an auto-
mobile accident and is in Room
214 at Ostepathic Hospital in Fort
Worth. Brother Vass was under-
going surgery from this accident
for the second time on October 31.
