Saturday’s Trades Day brought a
big crowd to town, and business was
helped accordingly. Another encour-
againg thing about Trades Day is
other merchants who have heretofore
stood aloof are joining in to make it
unanimous.
The next four months should be ac-
tive ones for all business houses. The
trade territory should be extended
and every effort made to bring in
more people from the outlying dis-
tricts. We have a mighty good town,
but as good as it is it can be made
better. Why not try to do just that?

plate doilies of pastel colored wash-
cloths. Small cakes of soap bearing in-
itials of the guests. marked the pla-
ces. with napkins of Kleenex. At eith-
er side of the board were bud vases
of coral vine. The centerpiece de-
picted the shower, with the cloth sus-
pending from the chandelier, under
which were the lovely presents.
A delicious course was served con-
sisting of pressed chicken. Escalloped
potatoes, creamed peas in timbals,
deviled egs, Dixie biscuits and Gra-
ham cracker pudding.
The guests enjoying this gracious
embossed three-tier wedding cake,
which was adorned with a miniature
bride and groom, overwhich hung a
small wedding bell. At each side were
silver vases of white carnations, with
sprays of fern surrounding the cake.
The handsome punch bowl was pla-
ced on a smaller lace-laid table with
Miss Leah Lazor of Victoria presid-
ing. Misses Yetta Wigodsky of Bay
City. Rose and Margaret Lerner of
Victoria assisted in serving the tea
dainties Miss Zelda Planto of San An-
tonio was in charge of the bride's
book.
Immediately following the reception
Mr. and Mrs Guzick lelt on a wed-
ding trip to Monterrey, and other
points in Mexico. Upon their return
they will be at home in Bay City
where Mr. Guzick is employed with
Rosenzweig's Store The bride born
and reared in Bay City was a 1933
graduate of the local schools. The
groom who has made Bay City his
home for the past two years was a
former resident of Sherman having
attended and later graduated from the
Sherman High School. Both have a
host of friends with whom the Trib-
une joins in extending congratulations
and best wishes.
