as in the first one, those who received
’ ballots were asked whether on the
, whole, they now approved the Roose-

to date.
“In the earlier March -April poll the
approving ratio stood at 69 03 per cent,
and the disapprovine ratio at 30.97
per cent. The latter poll shows 50 97
per cent in favor and 4903 per cent
opposed.
In certain states the percentage of
‘Yes’ ballots is larger in the August-
September poll than in the March-
April poll These are Delaware. Mon-
tana, Nevada, North Carolina and
Utah. Delaware shows a jump in
Yes percentage from 33.33 to 50. Ne-
vada from 68 13 to 83.33.
"On the other hand, in the other
states the percentage of ‘Yes’ bal-
lots is smaller in the second poll than
in the first. In California it drops
from 74.62 to 58 28, in Connecticut
from 55 65 to 40 18, in Illinois from
66 06 to 46 34, in Indiana from 65.35 to

Delaware
"The biggest decrease occurred in
Rhode Island and striking decreases
were shown also in Arizona, Indiana
Maine, Michigan, Missouri, New Jer-

“It will be recalled that in May and
