The writer is a Cleburne citizen enjoying the privileges that
go with that status. He married one of your Cleburne girls—
Miss Edna Thompson—and hopes some day to see his two baby
boys wear the Yellow Jacket numerals—in short, happiness in
al i. \
It’s time for you to realize that’ when you buy any-
thing to wear, that it is far more important to you
to first pick the store than it is to rely solely on your
own judgment in picking the goods regardless of the
store.
It is the time for practical thinking men to get
down to fundamental principles. It’s time to quit
fooling yourself. To quit experimenting.

never repay Mr., Sterling for that timely lift; but he can show his ap-

It might interest the citizens of Cleburne to know also that Mr.
ant? Mrs. Ross Sterling gave to T. C. U. more than $125,000.00 during
to one who is largely responsible for that happiness.
In 1923 this writer was in his second year of attendance at Texas
Christian University. A severe injury made it impossible to continue
- the work by which passage through the university was-being-ebtain-
ed. Through a mutual friend Mr. Ross Sterling learned of the situa-
tion and offered to take care of the writer through a period of rest,
and did so. The writer was treated as a member of t e family. As his
injury mended he was: p-ivenyteks tn doalongside t 1e Sterlingboys,
RossJr/and ^Valter, and by the way, they did teal work. Mr. Sterling
could not stand loafing or soldiering oi) the job. We three learned to
be complete and thorough with the job before turning it over for his
inspection. 1
Imagine the writer’s surprise and gratitude when Mr. Sterling
returned him to the University with his' personal check for enough
money to make the rest of the way easy. < -
That help came at the right time and the writer feels that he can

FERGUSONISM!
FergusonsForum dated_August 14, 1930, endorsed
-James V. Allred
Mr.'Bobbitt hasaqnounced himself as unqualifiedly
opposed b. the election of Ferguson as Governor of
Texas.
Mr. Allred refuses to express himself on Ferguson-
ism: WHY?
Nothing would suit the purposes of Ferguson bet-
ter than to have an Attorney General who is friendly
to him and his policies.
Ferguson. .if elected, cannot control nor influence
Bobbitt. If you favor honesty in our Stte Govern-
