today. The earthly ministry of
Moses is over; that of Vice Pres-

this great old man. The preach-

old men, among them Judge

lived. The general question of
stewardship was discussed, and
then in’ conclusion the parting
words and acts of Samuel were
referred to. It was shown how
he reminded them of their sin
but told them that if they would
repent that God would not for-
j sake his people. The beautiful
'thought in the lesson was how
after being deposed as Judge
that Samuel did not grow sour
and disgruntled, but retired to
Ramah and there established the
school of the prophets and taught
the young men of his day, and

them to say who he has "op-
pressed” or “defrauded” during
sion," found in the last three
verses of Matt. 28, from which he
delivered an able sermon.
The mission was given not
ity empty-handed. Why do we
remain idle? Have you no talent?
God’s call to service is always ac-
companied by the ability to do
something. Our one calling in
life is to make disciples. All
else is secondary. Our field is
the ‘world. A tremendous task
confronted the twelve disciples;
twelve against the world; later,
five hundred against the world;
now it is estimated there are 22,-
000,000 Protestants, besides 15,-
000,000 Catholics, with approxi-
mately 90,000,000 unsaved.
There is little 'increase in net
gain in the United States, merely
“holding our own,” which is not
advancing. Are you working
for Him? He calls you to ser-
vice. There are no boundary
lines. His presence is assured.
Do the work He calls you to do.

Dear Sir:
Some time ago we brought to your attention
a form of contract under which we are supplying
•our high-grade UNION CARBIDE to'owners of
bona fide acetylene town-lighting plants at a price
somewhat lower than our regular warehouse sell-
ing prices, tHe material to lx- used only for town-

hundred acetylene town-lighting plant owners have
taken advantage of the lower price provided for in
this form of contract and we would like'very much
to see your plant operating on as favorable a basis
as any of the other acetylene town-lighting plants
throughout the country.
We anticipate that it may lx* possible for us
to have one of our representatives call upon you
_ before long in order to go more thoroughly into .
the matter of our Carbide requirements, our prices,
etc., ami pending such time as this may lx* possi-
bk. we believe it would be fair to allow you the
benefit of the contract prices above mentioned on
your carbide requirements and we are today noti-
fying our Dallas warehouse man to accept your or-
ders for UNION CARBIDE when accompanied by
remittance at these reduced prices. There is,
therefore, absolutely no reason why you should
continue to purchase inferior carbide.
Hoping that we will have the pleasure of sup-
