The Rev. Peter Conaty and the
congregation of St. John's Episco-
pal Church staged a special event
for the community at the Sealy
Knights of Columbus Hall Wed-
nesday night. August 21, attracting
a large attendance of local and
Austin County people as well as
other out-of-owners.
Entering the hall from the lobby
through a balloon decorated door-
way, guests immediately walked
into a circle of concessionaires who
offered a most delectable fare for the
evening. Tasters could vary their
choice of meats, sweets and other
treats to their liking, wandering
from one booth to another as their
taste buds commanded.
Barbecued ribs, sliced barbecue,
sausages, cheeses, Mexican food,
stuffed mushrooms, pizza, hot
dogs, shrimp creole over rice, and
so much more could satisfy even
the most selective diner. In addition
there were fresh fruits, scrumptious
bread pudding, white and chocolate

Assembly of God church which
congregation he has served the past
seven years. Frank Lucas and others
will continue to hold services in the
interim until another minister takes
over the pastorate of the church
