Those figures are living proof that our city and our
county is doing something right to generate revenue.
But we should not be satisfied with these numbers,
there's still room for improvement
These numbers have continued to climb for the past
two years, so somebody must be doing something
right.
Hopefully, it's a trend that will continue.

According to reports from the Slate Comptroller's
office, the latest sales tax figures show that that
economic progress is on the way for Alvin and
Brazoria County.
It's those kind of figures that comes as welcome
news to the area.
Alvin's sales tax rebate for the month of June
totaled $163,413.84, as compared to $111,878.92 last
year. Overall, Brazoria County’s payment was on the
rise as the county received a payment of $721,925.
