Boerne. Each was attired in white
border eyelet over blue and wore a
slender blue ribbon necklace with a
James Avery charm. White hats
with blue ribbon trim
complemented their gowns. Each
bridal attendant carried a bouquet
of spring flowers.
Best man was Hugh A. Pritchett,
San Antonio, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were James Meckel,
Boerne, brother of the bride and
Glenn Shook. Ushers were Pat
Horan and John Meckel, brother of
the bride. Alfred Smith, Jr., nephew
of the groom, was ring bearer. The
groom and his attendants were
; attired in dove gray tuxedos.
The mother of the bride wore a
floor length gown of antique rose
i crepe de chine and the groom’s
mother chose a yellow lace gown.
Craig and Steven Robertson,
Bellville, served as Acolytes and
Kimberly Dechert, Boerne
presented guests with the wedding
programs. Cyndi Daggett, San
I Antonio, served at the Bride’s book.
Following the service the
reception was held in Luther Hall
and on the church lawn where tables
I were centered with white wild
I daisies.
The bride’s table was covered
with white lace and the white cake
was topped with a marriage cross
and decorated with fresh blue
flowers. It was made by Mrs.
Camille Plagens, Brenham, a fellow
teacher of the bride and was a gift to
the bride. The groom’s German
chocolate cake was made by Mrs.
Louise Pfeiffer, Boerne.
A buffet dinner was served.
The house party included Sherri
Meckel, Caldwell, sister-in-law of
the bride; Marty Mims, Linda
Pritchett, Pat Smith, all sisters of
the groom; Gwen Olson, Sandra
Boening, Mary Shira, Carolyn
Thane, Laurie Bogish, and Cathy
Moritz. Distributing rice bags to
guests were Lisa Beath and Lisa
Dechert.
After a honeymoon cruise to the
Bahamas and a trip to Disneyworld,
the couple are living in Bellville.
