Tamale Sale
On Friday, November 22, the
Rainbow Senior Center recognized
all the volunteers who worked at
the Project from July 31, 1984
through July 31, 1985. A short talk
on “Volunteerism” was given by
Nora Wylie, Site Manager.
Those who were recognized for
working 100 to 500 volunteer hours

Leona Meckel, LaVerne Otte, Dixie
Pfeiffer, Sister Angela Arencibia,
Helen Sultenfuss, Helen Surtees,

Nine persons received certificates
for 500 hours to 1,000 hours
volunteer time: Shirley Brice, John
Hood, Verle Powell, Nora Pressler,
Mary Shores, Ruby Schaub, Evelyn
Shussler, Fay Stokes and Gerri
Wilson.
Certificates for 1,000 hours to
3,000 hours were awarded to Sister
Benitia Herrera OSB, Edith Hood,
Nora Wylie and Travis Wylie.

Boerne, announce the engagement
and approaching marriage of their
daughter, Michelle Dionne, to
James Linscott Kabanek, son of Dr.
and Mrs. Joseph R. Kabanek of
Helotes.
The bride-elect is a 1982 graduate
of Boerne High School. She is
presently employed at San Antonio
Pluto, the furthest planet from the sun, takes 248.8
Earth years to make an orbit around the sun.

Her fiance is a 1981 graduate of
John Marshall High School. He is
presently employed as a Production
Manager at Instrument Specialist
