Fall was an exciting season for Texas Lutheran
students. Many events took place, and each one held
some fun in store for everyone.
The Organizational Fair was held the day before
classes began for the fall semester. This event gave
students a chance to see the different organizationsactive at Texas Lutheran.
Fall Gathering took place
in September. Each sorority
held special events to promote
its group to female students
interested in Greek organiza-
tions."Fall Gathering gave per-
spective pledges a chance to sorority individ
see each sorority individually, and also a chanc
and also a chance to see us all us all working
working together," said Laura
Hunsicker, sophomore.
Parents' Weekend took
place in October. This event was designed to familiar-
ize parents with the campus and gave them a chance to
meet with professors and administrators.
"Parents' Weekend was great. I got to hang out
with my folks and get a free meal at a nice restaurant,"
said Joey Caldwell, junior.
The holidays played an important role at Texas
Lutheran. The dorms and apartments held door deco-
rating contests for Halloween. Hein dining hall also
held a costume contest and special dinner.Getting a three day vacation
from school made Thanksgiving an
excitingholiday.Many students were
able to travel home and share a turkey
dinner with their friends and rela-
tives.
The men's and women's soccer sea-
sons came to an end and the Women's
Volleyball team hit a winning streak,
capturing the Bi-District Champion-
ship in November which qualified
them for nationals. Intramural foot-
ball season came to a close but volley-
