In the interim the promoters of
this proposition would like to see all
persons who wish to try for a posi-
tion on the team “get out and warm
up a little,” during their spare time,
and Sunday afternoon about 1:30
would like for everyone to congre-
gate at the old ball grounds, corner

Lots in the fourth division to
Texas City are beginning to sell, and
several new residences have been;
planned to be built therein during
the next few weeks. Residents of
that section of the city will have
the advantage of motor car service
to and from their work later on.
About as good a way to study hu-
man nature is when you are driving
on the public road. If a man is will-
ing to observe the laws and the
courtesies of the road, he wlil duly
give his share of it when meeting
another, and shows he is willing to
do the gentlemanly thing about it.
But when you meet one who takes
every advantage of those he meets,
and holds the road for his own sel-
fish self, often to the great discom-
fort of those he meets, or will not
allow them to pass we are almost
sure to think of pork in connection
with such drivers of teams.
The excellent vaudeville features
at the Crescent Theatre this week
- have drawn good crowds in spite of
the inclement weather. Baby Eileen
and her “little” brother Ed, and
the Musical Trio have given a show
that has been altogether worth the
Galveston I while.
By the way, gentlemen, we have an immense line of the famous F. & M. Shirts coming. They
ought to be here in about a week, but they won’t stay in the store long. Again assuring you of
our appreciation of your reception and patronage, we are yours to serve.
