CHEWING
TOBACCO
Penn’s spells quality.
Why?
Because—
Penn’s is packed air-
tifjht in the patented
new container — the
quality is sealed in.
So Penn’s is always fresh
—an entirely new idea for
chewing tobacco.
Have you ever really
chewed fresh tobacco?
Buy Penn’s the next time.
Try it. Notice the fine con-
dition.
And after that, use fresh
chewing tobacco — Penn’s.

Considerable building has been
and is now being done in Bell-
ville and Bellville territory. Here
are some of the building items:
Marcus Hellmuth has let a
contract to Wolnitzek Bros, for
the erection of a bungalow con-
sisting of living room, sun par-
lor, dining room, breakfast room,
kitchen, two bed rooms, bath,
and front and back porches. The
interior will be equipped with
closets and cabinets, and when
completed will be an attractive,
convenient, and comfortable
home, facing Stephen F. Austin
street, between the Gardner Hell-
muth and Fred Kuehn homes.
Wolnitzek Bros. have also the
contract for the H. Miller resi-
| law shall have written or printed
on their ballots the words
“AGAINST THE REPEAL OF
THE STOCK LAW”.
The presiding judge of said
election is ordered to make due
return of said election within ten
days after the date of said elect-
ion to the County Judge of said
County, as is required by law.
Witness my hand this 15th day
of February, A.D. 1922.
W. I. Hill
County Judge, Austin County,
Texas.
About a mile north-west of
(own. a neat and substantial
bungalow home for Mr. and Mrs.
Anton Fisher, consisting of four
bed rooms, dining room, kitchen, ;
and front gallery, was recently
completed, by Ben C. Fisher.
At their old home place in
Fisher’s addition, in the north-
ern edge of town, a nice and
comfortable bungalow has lately
been erected for Mr. and Mrs.
Gus Fisher. This house, also,
was built by Ben C. Fisher, and
consists of three bed rooms, din-,
ing room, kitchen, and front
and back porches.
E. H. Sonsel, cashier of the
Kenney State Bank, is having
two new rooms and a porch add-
ed to his home, and when this is
completed will have Mr. and Mrs.
John Schmidt, formerly of Bell-
ville, make their future home
with him and his family. Mr.
Sonsel is also having his barn
rebuilt, and so constructed as to
make it convenient in every re-
spect. This contract has been
awarded to Wolnitzek Bros.
Joe Sefcik, John Minton, Wil-
lie Pavelka, Frank Susen, Ad.
Walecik, and Geo. Mikeska were
in town Monday with teams, for
the purpose of hauling lumber
for John G. Mikeska, who is hav-
ing a large barn built on his
farm near New Ulm.

On Tuesday evening at half
past seven o’clock, at the hospit-
able home of Mr. and Mrs. B. G.
King, just west of town, about
two hundred friends of Mr. King
accepted his invitation to join in
a celebration of his fiftieth an-
niversary. A splendid supper,
consisting of barbecued beef,
barbecued pork, bread, coffee,
and a great variety of delicious
cake, was spread upon two long
tables arranged in the yard,
while the chill of the weather
was changed to pleasant warmth
by big bon fires. For some
time after the great abundance
of good things had been enjoyed
to the capacity of each guest, the
crowd lingered for a social hour,
and the affair was greatly en-
joyed by every one.

kitchen, glazed in back porch,
and a basement 14 x 14. The
second story will have three bed
rooms and bath. The house will
be provided with ample closet
room and built in cabinets, and
will have a hot air system for
general heating purposes, while
electricity will be used in the
kitchen for cooking purposes.
These two new and modern
homes will add much to the ah
tractiveness of Bellville’s resi-
dential district, which is already
provided with many beautiful
homes.
Chas. Weige is having Wolni-
tzek Bros. add two rooms and a
bath to his home, on S. Holland
street, beside making other im-
provements on the house, for
more room and comfort.
Chas. T. Goodman has been
awarded the contract for the re-
modeling of the T. B. Wheat
home. This provides for a
glazed sleeping porch on the
east side, and glazed breakfast
room, new floors, new chimneys,
new;front gallery, French doors.
