One good thing we have ever-
shiag sanitary. No uncleanliness al-
lowed, and we are well fed; have
pies nearly every day. Tell all the
boys not to worry. It may be hard
•or a few days, but gets better as we
become accustomed to the change.
"Army life seems to agree with the
men, and from a physical standpoint
t is wonderful. The boys are all
satisfied which is due largely to an
efficient staff of officers, and few if
any would return to civil life now
were the opportunity offered."
“Everything is in line with the
overnment’s policy of giving the sol
die r the advantages offered by clean
. ompetitive sport which develop in-
dividual initiative as well as offering
diversion.”
"Army life at Camp Travis is not
what most of the people at home
think it is. We are treated the very
beat. The Y. M. C. A. furnishes the
boys with goo d music, good picture
shows, church and other pleasures
that are possible. We have plenty to
-at and a good bed to sleep in, also
plenty of clothing to wear. Our bar-
racks are electrically lighted. There
are plenty of stoves and lots of coal
to make heat.”
"We send our greetings to the
1olks at ome and ask them not to
worry, lor our greatest worry is
thinking that the home folks are
bothered, when the fact of the mater
as that we are having a better time
zhan they can imagine.’
