“Several things might be worth
considering, if you haw already
ordered seedlings and plan to
do some planting this year. It is
a good idea for you to get your
seedlings planted early so their
roots can get well established
before the hot weather comes.
However, because of the general
lack of rainfall. I believe it
would be best if you could wait
until we get the fall rains be-
fore planting. If there is fresh
cutting in the area you plan to
plant, experience has shown
that destructive attacks of in-1
sects, particularly pales weevil,
are very likely. To prevent in- .
sect attacks in such a case, I
would suggest that you dip your
seedlings in a water suspension
। of benzens hexachloride before
planting the seedlings. -
