with a 3-2 defeat. The winning streak
was lengthened to two games—count!

the initial spring victory was scored
over the semi-pro Sunsets Tuesday.
11-3.
The Bears really played ball Wed-
nesday before a hundred or so fads
even granting that they had opposi-
tion that was makeshift to put it
mildly. The entire Cardinal outfield
was composed of pitchers because Jack
Smith can't put any weight on his
injured leg and Watty Holm swallow-
ed too much sulphur water at Terrell
Wells and developed a stomach-ache.
Third-baseman Tommy Taylor was
eracked on the elbow by a batted ball
and rendered hors du combat for some
time to come. That put a pitcher
young Jacoway from Ouachita Col-
lege in as third-sacker.
