“To enhance the tree and pro-
vide a setting for these lamps,
we’ll place 30 blue and green
floodlights at the base of the
tree and another 24 on poles
around the tree," said Hart.
"To add glitter to the nation-
al tree during the day, we’ll

Hart’s enthusiasm for flood-
lighting is reflected in the light-
ing of the maple tree in front
of' h is hum e in Cleveland
Heights, Ohio. There are no
lights on the tree. Instead, he
uses a blue spotlight at the tree
base to deliver a dramatie beam

Then, of course, there’s the
56th tree which Hart helps dec-
orate. That’s the one in his
living room. It’s done in tra-
ditional manner, complete with
sentimental decorations and all
to the delight of Hart, his wife.
