Mr. Dover also said that
shareholders of Invader Boat
Company have been informed of
their outstanding debts to the city in
the form of a state loan.
Local resident Howard Duff asked
if the council could do something
about local restaurants washing
down their drives, which puts food
wastes on city streets. He is asking
that restaurants sweep up the food

rate request case with the Public
Utilities Commission. He said they
are still working on some small
items in the case.

changed their procedures about
handling nuisance and code violation
cases. He said the city office will
first mail a letter to the owner of the
property which is creating a
nuisance or in violation of city codes.
If the owner does not respond, then
the city attorney will be asked to
proceed with legal action against the
person.
Included in nuisance and code
violation cases are buildings which
need attention, abandoned autos,
abandoned refrigerators, and other
problems.
City councilperson Lucille Walther
said she noted one case of nuisance
where a person is running their
water from their washing machine
down the city street.
