Castrovijle Public Library Board,
reported on the facility to Cas-
troville City Council.
> He noted that th library was
, accepted as a city function by
ordinance in 1971. The purpose
of this action was to make the a
, library eligible for federal fund-
ing. H o w e v e r, he said, it was
. learned that under no circum-
stances, neither as a corporation
or as a city-sponsored facility,
would the library qualify.
Wemette also pointed out that
the 1971 ordinance is not valid
without dissolution of the cor-
poration. Mrs. Helen Murrell, li-
brarian, reported that City Atty.
Allen Lee had been contacted a-
< bout the dissolution of the cor-
poration and he said his fee
would be $150. She said that in "
view of there apparently being
no benefit derived from the
dissolution, she questioned the
need for the expenditure.
Council recommended the 11- '
brary board be polled for its 7
opinion on procedure. There were
