"The UnboHl” an Attraction.
In "Tho Unborn” a five-reel film
drama now playing at the Princess
Theater George -Eliot Jr. has pro-
duced what has been one of the best
moving picture drawing cards seen
in San Antonio in months. Owing to
the unprecedented demand for seats
the '‘standing ro^m only*’ sirn has
been repeatedly put up and many
who have desired to see the play
have been unable to do so.
The subject of the drama is birth-
control and it is handled in an un-
objectionable way so as not to offend
anyone. As it was produced to serve
a moral purpose the picture has the
endorsement of woman's clubs
where it has been shown. The sev-
eral roles are well played and the
photography is excellent. The film
met with great success in New York.
Those who desire to see it here will
have a last opportunity Saturday aft-
ernoon and night.
Billie Burke Drawing Card.
With Billie Burke the "star su-
preme” in Chapter 12 of "Gloria's
Romance" broke all records at the
Grand Opera House. More than
3 movie fans saw Billie in what
was considered by many to be the
best of all chapters in "Gloria’s Ro-
mance.” This chapter will be shown
again today for the hist time. The
serial proved to be a happy combi-
nation of well-chosen cast and inter-
esting surroundings. The picture is
a personal triumph for Billie Burke
and she is excellently supported by
Henry Kolker. Without being spec-
tacular. "Gloria's Romance” is en-
tertaining and exciting. The beauties
of Palm Beach form an attractive
background for the action and fine
camera work is responsible for some
admirable photographic effects
which materially add to the finish of
the production. The "Who's Guilty?”
drama on this program is entitled
“The Weaker Strain” with an inter-
esting story. "Mutt and Jeff” in a
Bud Fisher cartoon entitled "The
Red Cross” is the comedy feature
