article series, “Things That Matter.”

closest friends, Kimberly Jane Cartwright & Kendall Wayne
McGibray were joined together in marriage. Pastor Brian Simpson
of Lake Jackson, the Groom’s brother-in-law, performed the ceremo-
ny at a small chapel in Alvin. Her two sons, Jeramy and Jacob
Poindexter escorted the Bride. The Groom’s son, Christopher
McGibray took the honors of Best Man. The Bride’s parents, Mr.
Larry Cartwright I of Beach Park, IL and Mrs. & Mrs. Russell
Dziubanek of Alvin, TX along with the Groom’s parents, Mr. A Mrs.
Tommy McGibray of Bryan, TX and Ms. Naomi Gaye Hagan of
Conroe, TX were all in attendance. The new family hosted a celebra-
tion at their home in Alvin following the ceremony.
We would like to thank everyone who shared such an unforgettable
day with us. To our incredible parents and siblings, our family that
traveled so far and all of our friends who have been as excited as we
are. We love you all very much - thank you for making our dream
come true - we couldn’t have done it without you! We are truly
