Department to
hold seminar - :
ACC’s Court Reporting
Department will host a seminar on the
ethics of judicial reporting and closed
captioning and reporting rules at the
Nolan Ryan Center, July 19.
The seminar is a wonderful training
opportunity and open to current stu-
dents and professionals already in the
court reporting field and those interest-
ed in pursuing a career in court report-
ing, closed captioning and communi-
cation access realtime translation. ‘
Panel guests will represent area
criminal district courts, the Texs
Court Reporting Coordinating Board,
and court reporting and captioning
businesses. Harris County Assistant
District Attorney Bill Delmore will
review the recent court decision ban-
ning video cameras from the jury
deliberation room of a recent criminal
court case. Do not miss this opport-
nity to hear examples of the ethical
dilemmas panel guests have face#
and brush up on civil and crimih4
procedural rules affecting ceuf
reporters.
