- Content Description: Letter from David Fentress to his wife Clara in which he recounts his participation in a battle that took place before May 19, 1864. He writes about the successes and set backs. He writes of the soldiers killed, wounded and missing. He says that some of the soldiers who died were accused of smelling of Louisiana rum. He ends the letter with news of his health and the health of friends.
