ANSWER TO NO RIDDLE
The numbers 1001. 111. 1961, and 6009
all have something in common
The thing they have in common is
that they read the same both right
side up and upside down
We had winners on that one, too
WISE AND OTHERWISE
Write to me about your memories
of the past, so that we may share
them with others. And these words
of wisdom— Keep cool; anger is not
an argument And the best answer to
anger is silence and really annoys
folks Anger makes your mouth
work faster than your mind."

CHS COLORS
Center School students have long
taken pride in our school colors of
purple and gold and I hope that no
one ever changes them
Several years ago. I made a
search among the older graduates of
Center High School to see how long
the colors had been used The late
Mrs O.C.(Belle) Rogers told me
that the first time she knew of the
colors being used was in 1903 when
the diplomas or certificates were
tied with purple and gold ribbons
After that the colors caught on and
were later adopted as the official
colors
My 1929 class has had more .lass
renions than any other class,
because we had our first one in the
fall of 1929 at the Polley Hotel and
seldom have we missed a year in our
get-togethers We always use purple
and gold crepe paper in our
decorations
It was kinder funny this week
when Kate Kunbro phoned me and
suggested we eat a fish dinner at one
of our restaurants
discussion at the special
called meeting of the Timp-
son school board Monday
night. The board voted to re-
advertise for bids on the
bleachers, since only one bid
was received last week.
