While Team-mates Play
Fast Aggressive Game.
NAGS. 5; BISONS. 0
Baggan and Hale Lead At-
tack on Shoots of Hiett
and Reinhart.
The Bronchos eaux to the taming
point Friday afternoon flipped a coin
for direction anu decided to go the
proper wav from now on. The Bufiu-
Joea Mere the victims and the haughty
Jea<ue-leadt / certainly got theirs. The
acore Mas 5 io (k with the ova! uumer-
ical opposite "Hous-ton’’ wu th • score-
board when Sid Kots got through.
Koss made his second start and got
BMay in great style this time Hi hit-
banded shoots had the husky Bibou
crew (sawing up the earth around the
plate but very little around the paths.
The Buffs made a f»air of hits in the
ninth but one wa* the rankest sort of
a scratch and neither endangered the
outcome of the game.
In the meantime. Lindy Hiett was
having a mean time of it. Lindy
pitched five rounds for the visitors and
was nicked for nine juicy wallops two
of them going for two sacks. Kein-
hart who joined the Houston tram
Thursday night relieved him and was
touched foi two more. Baggan’* double
in the seventh followed by Martin* sac-
rifice and Bridwell's error on Hale's
bouncer putting over the fifth run of
the game.
Aggressive Play Throughout.
The Bronchos hit in the pinch field-
ed in ateady style and played in a fash-
ion that was cheering to the long-suf-
fering fans who braved the chili air in
numbers to attend the*game. They lost
no time at all in getting the jump on
friend Lindy. Baggan soaking the first
ball pitched for a single to left. Mar-
tin went out to Bridwell and Baggan
took second Hale bounded one high
over Bridwell's bead ami Baggan •‘Cored.
Hale took third when the relay - f the;
ball to the plate gave it a bad hop be ।
fore it reached Myatt's mitt Northern's i
double to right scored Hale after Gibson
had flied far out to Meuze.
This aggressive play was kept up ali
the way. Overlooking a trio oi inning*
the Brones started the whirlwind stuff
again in the fifth. Cran-ton singled tv
center. Koss singled to right and Grau-1
atou hot-footed it to third. The Nags i
were taking chances un the bases and;
'Kosa tried to stretch his bit to a
double but was out. Stellbauer to Brid
well to Larmore. Baggan wa* out at
first and Cranston scored on the play.
With two out and nobody on. did the j
rejuvenated Brones stop in their
tracks? Nay Dot so. Martin plugged u
single to left and swiped second. Had- :
unloosed a double and Martin scored. !
Hale taking the chance that wins ball
games arrived at third just a fraction
of a second too late tor a stolen base.
Looked Like Another Tram.
The bomelings certainly looked like a
different team. Their hitting and fast ;
fielding were there as usual but they
hit when the bingles were needed anu
showed the pep that has been missing
to a great extent for some day.* |«a*t. I

IMechem Plans Great
Oil Development
FOR
Southern Texas '
To those interested in developing the deep oil sands
of Southern Texas I wish to say that plans are on foot
and contracts arc being let for the financing of twenty
|| deep wells one having been signed April 29 for $lOOOOO. i
Four deep wells already have been placed and three | '
more in process of contract. I (
II have been called to Milwaukee to attend a meeting 'l
of the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Texas Gas
Company to conclude a contract for the sale of a large
block of its stock which will mean the immediate ex-
penditure of at least $300000 in this territory.
On my return within a week or ten days I will give
my entire time to the financing of the deep wells on
the plan that we have announced to the public in the
press and would request that the owners of large acre-
age with oil indications see me on my return or write
me.
Mr. Marshall will have charge of all personal mat-
ters during my absence. 11
