Notes

Transcription of Item: "Dearest Mom, Dad, + Boys,

Still sailing over the bounding main. I certainly hope it isn't much longer. The sun is awfully warm, and I'm already as brown as an Indian. Gee, what a life! We sit around all day and do the same at night. Lately, we gals have been sleeping up on the tennis deck. Of course we usually get rained out a couple of times, but we're getting so used to it that anymore, we just cover up our heads and go back to sleep.

I'm with Dienst and Baird most of the time. They are the ones who got

married right before we left Topeha. Do they ever miss their husbands. We haven't had any dances; but we have had a couple of U.S.O. shows and a picture show last night. Then, of course, there is always a song-fest somewhere on deck in the evening.

I'm getting fat, even on two meals a day. The food is delicious. We even had fresh milk for quite a while. When you send me a box, try to find some kind of bedroom slippers to stick in.

Did you get the money? No more I can tell you. I'm well and happy as can be expected. Miss you all very much.

Love,
Aggie

Kisses for Mike"
