Hie Mt Pleasant Tigers chalk-
ed up an easy 53 to 37 win over
the Daingerfield Tigers at Brice
Gym Tuesday night.
The Mt. Pleasant cageri scored
their-- winning margin all from
the free throw line. Daingerfield
bested the local team on field
goals, having 17 to 16 for the
locals. But, on the free throw line,
the host team proved superb as
they hit 21 out of 24 charity
pitees.
From that line Gary Reddin
led the way as he sank nine of
10; Thomas Hockaday was next
in line with seven of eight; R E.
Dodson and James Stansell both
hit two of two and Alan South-
erland hit one of two.
The Tigers moved out in front
early in the contest, and after
going ahead 5 to 3, were never
headed by their opponents. At
the end of the first frame they
were ahead 13 to 5. and t hey had
WRened this margin to 30 to 17
by half time. ,
The host team outscored their
opponents 13 to 10 in" the third
frame and each team scored ten
points in the final stanza.
Pivotman Reddin again paced
the Tigers as he netted fiye field
and the nine free throws.
Dodson was next in line with 12
points, Hockaday had 9 Stansell
made 6. Southerland made 3 and
Thomas and Caldwell each made
For-Daingerfield, Parrish was
top with four field goals and two
free throws for ten poinis and
Johnson was next in line with
eight.
The local "B" team also had
an easy time as they smothered
the visiting "B" team by a 45 to
23 score

Atlanta 55-49
The Pine Tree Pirates won
their fifth game in seven starts
Monday night by beating the At-
lanta Rabbits 55-49 with a wild
scoring fourth quarter that saw
the Pirates fight from behind to
capture the contest.
At the start of the game the
Rabbits jumped into the scoring
column with a bang and they
were in front 14-3 at one point
Atlanta led at thy end OF the 11 -I
quarter 18-8, moved on to inter-
mission margin of 31-26 and led
at the end of the third period
43-37 before bowing to a 19 point
onslaught by the visitors.
Carl Baker was high point man
for the Pirates with 22. Jim Car-
isle netted 14 for the losers.

it was close at times.

in the game for the Bears and
all of his points were tallied in
the first half. All of his six field
goals were from behind the free
shot line and it was in the sec-
ond quarter that their mark be-
